Overview
VIP — vasoactive intestinal peptide — is an endogenous 28-residue neuropeptide found throughout the gut, brain, and immune system. Few signalling peptides have a research literature this broad: immune modulation, pulmonary biology, circadian signalling, and smooth-muscle work all lean on it.
