Overview
Melanotan II is a cyclic synthetic analog of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH), engineered for potency and stability far beyond the linear native hormone. It is a broad agonist across the melanocortin receptor family, which has made it a workhorse of melanogenesis and receptor-pharmacology research since the 1990s.
Where the native hormone degrades in minutes, MT-II's cyclic lactam bridge holds its shape — a practical difference that decides experiments. Protocols use it to probe pigmentation signalling and as the reference agonist against which selective melanocortin ligands, including its own derivative PT-141, are compared. Supplied as a lyophilized 10 mg vial.
A reference agonist warrants reference documentation. Every batch is independently HPLC-tested and released at ≥99% main-peak purity, with the batch COA published in the Certificates repository. The 10 mg lyophilized vial ships cold-chain in tamper-evident packaging with a unique REP-XXXX-XXXX-X code — one scan at first use confirms it is genuine. For laboratory and research use only; not for human consumption.
Store lyophilized at -20°C. After reconstitution, refrigerate at 2-8°C.
Ships within Egypt 1–3 business days via insulated courier.
