Two different mechanisms, one axis
CJC-1295 is a GHRH (growth-hormone-releasing hormone) analog. Its N-terminus is modified to extend serum half-life from minutes to hours; the modification protects it from DPP-4 cleavage. Ipamorelin is a selective GHRP (growth-hormone-releasing peptide) that acts on the ghrelin receptor instead of the GHRH receptor.
The two pathways converge on the same downstream hormonal output but through different upstream receptors — a useful experimental setup for researchers who want to study the combined effect, or who want a more sustained release profile than either compound alone provides.
